H= Happiness

Happiness is such a subjective term. Happiness for one person might be completely different than another person’s definition of the term. Heck, happiness might vary for one person from one day to the next. I might be happy when completing an activity one day and feel miserable the 800th time I’ve done that activity.

Add to this that our society tends to tether one’s happiness to his/her amount of wealth or success and you suddenly have a term with a definition that varies wildly from person to person.

What is happiness to you?

  1. good topic – it’s very relative. Like you take a lot of things for granted and when you think they are going to be taken away and suddenly you have a reprieve, you fel happy.

  2. Writer’s are constantly off-balance which makes happiness quite difficult to define… But spending time with my Rottweilers, writing down the premise for a new book that I know will be amazing (ignoring the endless hours of perspiration to follow to actually make it amazing) and finally getting that new sewing pattern right, makes for one happy writer. Waking up to misty mornings are great too 🙂
    Good luck with the rest of the AtoZchallenge.

    1. I do so love writing down the premise for a new book. There should be studies done about the chemicals that are released when a writer is brainstorming a new idea!
